What do people do for removable flight stands. I have never managed to find a solution that is quick to model, stays firm during play and is durable. Getting magnets to stay on flight stands for instance. Sent from my SHIELD Tablet K1 using Tapatalk |

https://www.hawkwargames.com/products/h ... ts-pack-64 ![]() Cut the top peg off of GW bases and these fit snugly on them with a pressure fit. They hold my THawks and LC no problem. |

Do they work for fighters? |

The peg on the top of them is about 1/8" so they work with pretty much everything. If it doesn't fit, it's easy to trim being plastic. |

Hi! I use these in combination with magnets: http://www.corseceng.com/omni-stand/ The only thing that I adhere to the model is a magnet. Another magnet goes on the different "head pieces" available. All the parts can be screwed on and off. So I can easily detach them from the model for storage. Primarch |

For some reason I have not got on well with magnets, they just don't seem to adhere well enough to the model or stand, and come off when separating the two. Maybe mine are too strong. Or the other thing that happens with great regularity is I put them on with the wrong polarity. This seems to happen regardless of how many times I check it. Maybe I have quantum magnets. Has anyone tried just adding some siligum to the hole then hollow it out, leaving a smaller hole that acts like a compression fitting? I have wondered whether that might work. Probably academic at this point, I am not known for my modelling patience, and those widgets seem the path of least resistance... Sent from my SHIELD Tablet K1 using Tapatalk |

I use magnets. Need to use a decent brand of glue to ensure they stay stuck on for years, not the cheap stuff. |

I am with Evil and Chaos. I use the small "Rare Earth" magnets. Have them on the T/hawks and they stay on fine. |

I usually fill in the hole with milliput, let it set, then drill out a new hole that's a snug fit for the peg on top of the flight stand (1mm diameter if I remember rightly). |

Ah ok I get you. Personally I use 3mm x 1mm Neodymium rare earth magnets (cheap off ebay) I file down the flight stand to a flat point roughly the same size as the magnet then superglue that sucker in place. never had any issues yet as long as I have properly let the glue set |

Gunny that, same here. It expands so watch it but it'll last decades out in the weather; It'll hold for your models. |
