Would have been rough at the time. With today's models, I'd love it. Vanguard's 3mm line keeps calling to me.

I feel that 6mm is perfect for epic, 3mm would be too small even for me not to mention casual gamers.

The vanguard 3mm are ridiculously crisp prints/casts, shows you just how good that sort of thing can be (better than much forumware was). They make a good russ proxy themselves too, but im thinking of using the above to loyalist and the vanguard ones as traitor.

This is more of a spec arms post, but im placing it here too as it is related to very tiny 40k minis: epic scale bfg, or something.
Essentialy, I've spent the last couple of months printing and painting half scale bfg (not been on forum much, mostly lurking on spec arms discord now)

This gives minis that are a very sensible size, with a cruiser becoming the size of a GW 28mm figure/epic SHT. I've slightly over-sized escorts and marines to keep then as sensibly sized playing pieces, they are about the size of epic rhinos.

The files they are based on are from easily locatable free online repositories, though i won't put direct links here. In almost every case however i've then gone in and done custom re-mixing, for example the strike cruisers have death watch bits on, added extra turret details, etc.
