Well I made a promise to Lextar that I'd post up a pic of my newly painted Great Gargant and I thought I'd also post some of his smaller friends as well. In a month I've managed to paint 4 Warbands, 8 Battlewagonz, 6 Kommandoz and a Great Gargant. My aim is to have the army ready for Wrath of the Tyrant in October but I have no idea what I'll be taking so I'm just painting whatever comes to hand and seeing how it goes on the table. During games I'm finding that battering larger formations is relatively easy but closing down all of the survivors and securing the objectives is quite a struggle. Maybe some fast 'back-stop' formations to keep behind my lines clear is in order.... Anyway, the photos http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ehXf_sS84WA/W ... G_1390.JPG C & Cs welcome The blog is found at smallscaleheroics.blogspot.co.uk I'm going to make an effort to batrep as many games as I can as we average 2 games a week so we should have some good reports up shortly to compliment my first few attempts on the blog. |

Nice to see the little fellas in use! Incidentally, they look exactly like my old Epic40K orkses. Even down to the snow white base. |

Great job, and added you to my blog list ![]() With regard to objectives, clumping the enemies take and holds close to their blitz can be useful, as it's one point you can concentrate your horde on in numbers and the enemy has to try and stop it somehow. |

I'm currently swearing by adding a stand of Kommandoz or Stormboyz to my foot Warbands to stop them being hamstrung too much by clever objective placement by my opponent, plus the 10cm countercharge of the Stormboyz can help against the clipping assaults the enemy usually tries. My stock warband at the moment gets +3 Boyz, +3 Grotz and a Kommando/Stormboyz. 300 points and enough Grotz to stop clipping attacks doing too much real damage |
