Post subject:  Elsmore's projects

Hi all, long time no post. :)

I thought I'd get a few pics up to prove I still get the odd bit of hobby stuff done. Progress has been sporadic for some time due to RL, but perhaps I'll get more time in the run-up to Christmas...

I won't bother posting previous projects, but if anyone hasn't seen them and is interested, pop to:

My current project is SoB. Could turn out to be timely, as rumours suggest SoB are get the plastic treatment from GW. Wrong scale, of course. Here's what I have so far in the correct scale (not great pics - I'll get a proper camera out for the finished articles):

Just the battle company and Living Saint to finish as far as the infantry goes. After that I have 22ish tanks, 4 aircraft, and the Cathedral of Purification. Oh, and the all important basing!

Wow! Great job! Can't wait to see the finished product.
What list are you looking at running?
Cheers

Here's the Cathedral of Purification. I took the cathedral in the name literally! It's dry fitted and not quite finished at the moment. I'm thinking I want more people on the rear deck, and possibly more piping in various places etc. Also it appears the main gun has changed in the developmental army list - typical. ;D Luckily, I knew that would happen, and only blu-tacked the flamer in.

I'll post the Redemptionists for completeness. These will likely get repainted as I'm not happy with the red. Not enough depth and too orange (though the camera helps a little in this case):

Those redemptionists are totally amazeballs!!!
If they were mine I think I could spend all day just mixing up those bases and then puzzeling the temple back together ;D

Looking really nice there!

That railing on the cathedral looks like it would be pretty fragile. Does it hold up well?

Thanks, all!

It'll be ok when it's glued in, though always prone to bending at the top. I figured I'd try to match the infantry on detail, and accept that doing so will result in a match in fragility. Nothing like as fragile as FW Tau / GK though.
