I kitbashed one (the electric flyswatter trick). But I used it for my 15 mm WWII. Can't remember the height of the grass. Worked ok. very fiddly business, though. |

The result is really satisfying. I seem to recall a fiddly process of attaching a needle an then cable to the wet glue. After that keeping the sift bit very very close to the base whilst shaking it vigorously. The videos of the pro stuff is something else. They are all about covering very large surfaces, which is a different deal entirely. Fun project though. |

I have one. The consistency of the glue is what makes the biggest difference. You need to water down to let the grass sink in, but not so much that it can't hold the grass upright as it dries. There's some pics of 2mm grass in my thread in the 28mm forum. |
