Hi,

Does anyone know a source for the 40x10mm strip bases that GW or Steel Crown used to make? The ones with 5 holes for dudes to fit into?

I've started basing my armies on them and would really like to keep the basing consistent across them. I have seen Magister Millitum do 40x10mm bases but I don't think they have the holes in them. I can use those if I have to, but would prefer the precut holes if anyone knows of a manufacturer?

I got a heap of Ebay recently, that might be worth a shot. Or get the blank ones and put the holes in them?

Note that 'standard' epic bases were 12mm, not 10mm, wide.

Try the trading posts on here, a lot of people are going for the round bases or larger rectangular bases
it seems these days, I have gone round myself, so must be plenty of spares kicking about that
people don't need,

Making my own is a nice idea except that the low cost is...not really a thing because I'd need to buy a drill, a clamp and a scalpel/modeling knife. As I've never needed those things before and can't think of anything in the immediate future that would need them the cost per base suddenly goes right up.

I'll see what pops up in trades, or with Fenris games.

fair enough, though I would suggest that obtaining a scalpel/hobby knife would be a very cheap (£3?) and useful investment for pretty much any and every 6mm hobby project aside from bases.

If you buy a scalpel, invest also in plasters (err, band aids, for our merkin friends)

I did contact Tom about the SCP strip bases so I could get some for my store but he wished to keep them exclusive to the Exodus wars label so it was a no go unfortunatly.

The bases have been sold to our new supplier - they'll be available again soon :).
