Hi all, This is going to be my, hopefully, motivational plog charting the creation of my first Epic army. Always loving bad guys and the Gaunts Ghosts I just had to create my own dashing purple tuniced regiment from Jant Normanidus; an equally snobby but this time mechanised regiment of Dragoons. The list will probably end up being: REGIMENTAL HQ [775] Supreme Commander, 12 Infantry, 7 Chimera, Tank Squadron (3 Demolishers), Griffon Battery (3 Griffons), Hydra MECHANISED INFANTRY COMPANY [725] Commander, 12 Infantry, 7 Chimera, Tank Squadron (3 Demolishers), Hellhound Squadron (3 Hellhounds), Hydra SENTINEL SQUADRON [100] 4 Sentinels SENTINEL SQUADRON [100] 4 Sentinels THUNDERBOLT FIGHTERS [150] 2 Thunderbolts THUNDERBOLT FIGHTERS [150] 2 Thunderbolts SUPER-HEAVY TANK COMPANY [500] 3 Shadowsword SUPER-HEAVY TANK COMPANY [500] 3 Shadowsword I'm missing the super heavies and hydras ( and am resisting the urge to put a Reaver Titan in the list) so things are subject to change. I know its not super competitive but thanks to kind help, I know its not dire either! The loud click of the jackboot being stamped home rang around the tight confines of the office. Colonel Crassus stood, adjusted the fall of his tunic and strode from the room with barely a glance at the full size mirror on the opposite wall. There was a war to win. |

Ok, I'm trying to decide what colour scheme to paint my Imperial Guard armour in. Would an all over green, a camo or a blue/grey look most appropriate with purple tunics? lol

I'd say do the vehicles and such in purple. Cant wait for the sentinels! |

Here is the test sentinel for my colour scheme for vehicles, I like it!   Think I'll be going with snow on the bases. |

Much better than the camo! But I still think it needs at least a little bit of purple to tie it in with the infantry. |

Thank you  Got the other 7 sentinals on the go at the minute to test out the vehicle colour scheme, then its 7 chimeras and the first company plus transports are done. |

Hi - love em! I think the small purple marking will do the job of tieing them together. And consistent basing really helps too. The sentinels only have tiny areas for markings so it is subtle here (perhaps on a leg too?) but on the AVs it will be obvious I expect. |

Hi everyone! Really sorry for the enforced period of absence here, real life and a historical wargaming project got in the way  Anyway, here is the current state of the dragoon regiment:   The plan is to paint that lot before my Eldar bits and bobs arrive from eBay!
