hi all as per title i need to get hold of 6mm trees roads and rivers, i barely have time to paint atm, so terrain is the last thing on my mind, i have a tonne of epic buildings/ruins etc but am short on trees roads and rivers, can anyone reccomend a good retailer for the above terrain please? thanks all John |

im a fan of gcm and have bought some of the epic walls from them, i like the hex tile idea but i need pre made 6mm scale trees/roads/rivers ideally. thanks |

I make my own for next to nothing. These ones all made out of pipe cleaners and cost almost nothing. http://www.taccmd.tacticalwargames.net/ ... 28&t=26726 I also make slightly more expensive trees from woodland scenics stuff, about £20/€ 25-€30 investment, but I have enough to last a lifetime, though some are too big for 6mm. They can be seen on page one and page two of my fantasy log. Out of the two I love the pipe cleaner ones. They look great on the edge of the table, better than the wallpaper background! I will probably grab some of the china ones off ebay this year, as I've seen them a plenty on these boards and for their price they are numerous and look pretty good. Ready to go, and they normally offer free shipping (at least we get that here in England, I'm not sure what rates will be for Ireland, but I would hope its still free!) I think its under z scale trees and you get about 100 for not much more than making your own, but you can get all sorts of different types and sizes. Roads I have started to make my own, if you have the time and effort. Simple using plasti card and some of the texture spray for art deco/furniture. They take seconds to make, but do need a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG drying time, as that stuff will rub off just walking past it if not dried completely! They need to be vanished and I still need to add road markings but for £12 I get 2 meters of road. Battlescene designs did have some really nice road tiles in the making, http://www.taccmd.tacticalwargames.net/ ... 28&t=25390 but Im not sure where he got to with them, so they might not be viable till later in the year. But they will be awesome, and really good value for money. I know you are after ready mades, and most of mine is self made, but I thought I'd share just incase. |

I went with Woodland Scenics Ready Made Trees 3/4" to 2". There's 38 per bag finished. Just glue a penny to the base and voila forest. Don't get the kit, you have to make those. Miniature World Maker has some great rivers and roads but they're out of Australia and may be cost prohibitive for you. That's your decision. Old Dominion Game Works had some fantastic resin pieces but let the line go. I don't know if anyone has picked it up yet or not. There's always Dropzone Commander card tiles cut the roads up and lay them out. |

+1 for WS Ready Made Trees. Great looking product and a decent volume. Ran me about $35 USD so it's not the cheapest, but I was very satisfied with what I got for it. |

I use Woodland Scenics for my trees/hedgerow/bocage in 6, 15 and 28mm scales. IMO, for "natural" terrain, they're the best. |

I've ordered string wire trees from The Model Tree Shop, initially because I had trouble finding trees that were of the right dimensions - I namely did not want them so tall that even Titans and Gargants could hide behind them. The trees are quite nice in my opinion, even down to 10-15 mm, and you can order them in exactly the size and quantity you want. Next time I order trees it will most likely be from there again. I figure 23-30mm is about right for epic. |
