Hello, first post here. I was directed to this forum after posting some epic stuff elsewhere. I don't much care about winning or tournaments so this is probably the only part of the forum I'll visit ;)

I've played every edition of epic except the first, selling my army each time after the rest of my group would loose interest (although I kept the terrain for some reason!). This last time though, I decided to instead buy someone else's army so I'd have two. I built the Dark Angels under the generic Space Marine list so they lack a lot of the Dark Angels stuff. However, I've got some attack bikes and land speeders on the way and I just acquired 4 Predators so I can take the Whirlwinds under the most recent Net Epic Armageddon Dark Angels list.

I have two Warhounds as well:

I've recently started on painting the Imperial Guard I bought as well. So far I've painted 7 Chimeras that all look essentially the same, so I only took a picture of two:

I also just finished 4 Thunderbolts:

Well, finished until I acquire some flight stands. Which leads me to my question. Anyone know a good way to mount the flight stands in a way I don't have to worry about constant breakage? I was thinking about sinking a long 2mm magnet into the stand and a short one into the Thunderbolt. My concern though is that it doesn't seem like flight stand is as wide as the hole (these are the metal Thunderbolts, not the resin Forgeworld ones).

After painting the Imperial Guard army and the Dark Angel reinforcements, I've also got two Forgeworld Warhounds and two old beetle back Warlords.

Thanks for looking!

Could use a metal pin in the plane and a cut down flight stand with the recieving hole? Or stronger glue :)

Will all the warhounds be from the same titan legion or from different ones?

I've had flight stands break in ever conceivable place...the other reason I'm thinking about magnets is to give it a break point!

The other two Warhounds Will probably be a different legion. The idea being that I can field two armies against each other to teach others the rules and get interest. I'm not sure about the Warlords though. Problem is, I like red titans!

Nice stuff.

Flight stands : see hawk war game's flight stands with plug on "widgets" which are glued to the aircraft ( from dropszone commander)

Interesting. Do those fit epic models?

They do, though you may have to do some drilling to get them to fit underneath

Great work. I dig the blue stripping on the Thunderbolts

Use the hawk stands on my old school thunderbolts with no issues - you do need the widgets though. I think all the packs come with them as standard now.

Thanks! What's bad about those two war hounds is I bought them in eBay years ago, not realizing they were missing the connector piece. I wondered why no one else was bidding!

But from certain angles, you can see my bad putty skills in action, lol.

Knocked these out tonight, but I feel like something is missing. The pic isn't great, but they've been highlighted up to goblin green on the extreme edges. I just feel like they need something else.

Edit: those smokestacks definitely need more shading, but that's pretty insignificant.
