So has anyone considered useing this thing as a true scale great/mega gargant?

40K Gorkanaut, not cheap but it has potential.

That thing is pretty big! I don't know how it would look on the table to be honest.

Overall size aside, scale wise it's not too bad. There are a few things I would change, notably the aerial thingamajigs on the top of the first picture. The rivets are a bit big too.

It will be big and of course you would need to alter all the 40k scale signifiers and add scratch build epic additions to it, infact i'd do some drastic modifications myself but it's just an idea at the moment.

Thought it would scale well next to the imperial knight "imperator" conversion i have been following elsewhere on these pages.

Yep major rework of the boby section so as to squeeze lots of guns positions in there would be a must and i'd probably do something with the legs to turn them in to track sections mega gargant style too.

Hey Dobbsy thanks for the pic i didn't realise he'd already did one. Looks like it could work to me for a mega at least anyway.

Hi!

I think it looks too big compared to the original GW stuff.

However in true scale I think it would work as a mega-gargant.

It would be interesting to see that next to one of those true scale reavers or the GW knight being converted to an Imperator.

Made this a LOOONG tima ago - took a killer can box, some plastic card, some random bits, and about 50 hours of work -

Image

Actually became quite the beast! I'd love to paint it - but my free time is consumed by my mini company these days :)

Nice work Deacon!

I have to say that I agree it's too big to be a mega gargant, one of the massive issues I have with 40k currently is that the models are just getting bigger and bigger and crowding the table, the massive appeal of epic is that you can use a titan legion and still have room to move the models around and actually see your opponent!

Found this image on google i think the gorkanaut would be perfect for a mega gargant if you were useing the knight as an imperator. :)

the main issue I have with the model is it looks too flat - I've got plasticard things I've built with more layers of detail. Start with a dread or a kan kit and build out - cheaper and better detail :)
