L4 and Primarch: thanks for the support guys! Its always a boost to get reactions like that from veterans of wargaming.

Dave: you got it! Gargoyle bodies, hormagaunt talons, ripper head attached to an arm joint from the talons to help the head "nestle", mandibles from the metal Epic trygons, and a little green stuff to fill in the hole on the torso.

Thanks Toco! Glad you like them. I was really happy with how aggressive and "pointy" they came out.

I managed to paint a handful of zoanthropes. There's not a lot of AA in the Nid list so I'm hoping to tuck these into swarms and at least put some blast markers of flyers.

Thanks guys! I've really been enjoying this project. The converting and painting have been a blast.

Chris - I look forward to it! We haven't had a chance to play each other in Epic yet.

I managed to finish an objective marker over the weekend. I'm on the fence about the tentacles being tan, they blend into the ground too much. I was planning on leaving them red, but then the gaunts on the objective dont stand out. What are your thoughts?

In brown, as they are, they kinda look like oozing digestion organs. Sucking up the precious organic material, or should that be excreting the undigested lasguns from all those dead Guard? :D

Because the tan seems to have general acceptance, I'll start on the rest of the objectives. Thanks for the feedback!

Here's photos of the next two. Basically the base coat with a bit more. The larger green pool will serve as the blitz.
