I have tried many over the years, recently bought a couple of Army Painter fine detail brushes and I'm pretty pleased with them. Price is reasonable too. |

I really like the Windsor and Newton Series 7 kolinsky sable size 0. A bit pricy but worth every penny. Get some brush soap to keep them in top shape too. |

My first choice of brush will always be Rosemary & Co series 401. They are just as good as W&N7 and very well priced. I've had a set now for a long time and they are still almost like brand new (And I paint alot, at least 10 hours aweek). Plus they are super quick to dispatch ![]() Heres the link: http://www.rosemaryandco.com/acrylic-br ... le-mixture Oh as size 2/0 or 3/0 willl be bang on for detail Epic |

Just got my first Rosemary brushes as the W&N are out of stock in the States. I'm quite happy with them, and they were well-priced. |

R&C brushes take a mini or 2 too get 100% used too though, as the brush bristles has a bounce and are longer then the crap ones GW uses. But you won't regret them at all ![]() |

Good tips. I like a stiffer brush (oo-er) so I'll give em a try. |

I've had enough with my GW brushes losing their points.... gonna pick up a set of the R&C based on the recommendations here As they're a little stiffer, does anyone have a recommendation for a softer brush for applying washes? I quite like the GW wash brushes but again, they fail quickly |

My GW standard brush has been holding its point really well, I recon you guys are just missing a trick: the answer is to do hardly any painting. Keeps the brushes in great condition ![]() |
