Very nice mixed race force ! http://theminiaturespage.com/boards/msg ... 302&page=1 BACKGROUND The so-called Kingdom of the Jasmine Throne is a freehold in Federation space inhabited largely by humans, settlers primarily from the former Terran Central Asia, and their young queen, Roxann Diamunda, is a just and humane ruler. However, there has always been a great deal of intrigue, rivalry and dissension in the military and ruling caste of the Jasmine Throne, and assassinations and military coups were all too common in the past. This led the queen's great grandfather, the mighty Shapur the Wise, to raise four battalions of aliens to serve as his bodyguard, titled the Jasmine Throne Foreign Battalions, or JTFB. The force has gradually been expanded and there now exist twelve battalions of JTFB as well as four armoured battalions. Each infantry squad member and vehicle crewman is a different alien species to prevent collusion in the ranks. This system has worked well and there have been no successful coups since Shapur's time. Aliens come from around the galaxy to serve in the JTFB, for many different motives. They may all look different but they wear uniform armour (modified to suit varying body shapes, of course) and use weapons of standard design (similarly modified by your friends at Mercanto-Dett Military Solutions). All must know at least rudimentary words in Federal Standard in order to obey simple commands. The training regimen is gruelling and many candidates fail, but those who succeed are members of an elite, hallowed formation indeed. In fact, it was Roxann's decision to send six battalions of the JTFB to Molch that turned the tide in the Molch/Vornid War. |

I may break my rule of buying little to no new stuff with these little guys. And based on their other 6mm Infantry prices, they will sell them in groups of 10-12 at about $2.00-$2.50 ... Plus they are a US company out of NY, IIRC. So post won't be a big issue. So these could be Tau allies. Khurasan will release these soon and later CinC will release mixed Alien Merc packs too ... So both of these will be some of my Tau Allies ... it's a big universe ... |

Oh yeah, those + CinC's future alien Merc releases, I can for see a mixed alien force for Tau alliies. And since we still use some the old rules from SM1 & 2. Both Orks and Chaos can have Freebooterz ... So these could fill that slot as well . |

Those look like they can be mutant guardsmen also, the first one top left looks like a chosen almost too. |

Just use the guardsmen list as the basis. You could have quite an interesting mix of aliens as troops and all manner of vehicles as proxies for chimeras, russ's ect. Would give people a way of building an army using all those cool models that just don't fit anywhere else. Can't wait to see more. Matt |

Yes Khurasan is becoming another new great source for 6mm. Check out their 15mm line, which looks like the 6mm will be a doppleganger. As far as size comparison, some where down the line that will come about. But even if the aliens are not right on with GW Epic Infantry. They are aliens so they may be a little taller or smaller ... THEY are Aliens ! For the Emperor's sake !  And the low price, may not violate my "boycott" of buying new stuff. Since I have so much to be painted already !!!! ![:{[]](./images/smilies/headbang.gif "Headbang")  And their human infantry looks very nice too ! I love his 6mm vehicles, not to keen on his infantry though. I would like to see vornids in 6mm though. |
