Hi chaps, A friend has asked a difficult question which has got me scratching my head and I am hoping you can help ! (Either that or its fleas again !!) Anyway, he is looking to build an IG Krieg army and trying to find some plastic infantry proxies which would be suitable. Can anyone provide some inspiration ? Many thanks, Phil |

No plastics for metal the Exodus Wars stuff is great and Baccus is beginning a WW1 range and also has a Franco-Prussian war range. |

Personally I used epic Armageddon troops and some green stuff to make gas masks and the nub on the head |

Another shout for the EW Royal Empire guys; whoever sculpted them is a modest genius :p |

I would endorse the royal empire infantry as krieg proxies as well. However, be forewarned that the detail is a bit shallow so be careful with the primer. They're a little spindly, which fortunately does not affect the sturdyness of the figures themselves, but poses some scale problems (i.e. they look small) if you want to put them next to other IG figures. Having an NCO type figure on every sprue will also leave you with a lot of leaders. I would've preferred another pose of the regular troops. When I got them, there wasn't a command sprue available so I ended up using forumware, which can get difficult and expensive so not an option for everyone. Not sure if the command/crewmen situation has changed with exodus wars. That said, they make up the bulk of my baran infantry. |
