Super stuff. I see what you mean about the cockpit and turret, but other than that it is a wonderful blocky design.

Love this design. Great balance between T-Hawk and Marauder. Will fit perfectly in SM force.

Cheers

James

Hi!

Very interesting results. I foresee getting one 5 years from now. :)

And I think you should name it the Saracen bomber!

That fits quite nicely :)

Did a lot last week, but not much to show for it.
The bomber proved to be a bummer.
There were different issues with getting it printed. Finally solved.
I grew the 4 I need and gave them a first quick paint job.
Two of them have landing gear.
I also did a Brumbaer (my logo) with pelt and without (just a smooth surface). But there is most likely not much much interest.
I did some humans and sized them, to what I think would be anatomically correct - compared to my SMs.
They are meant to be companion models to the bomber, so they are unarmed and wearing overalls and field cap.
I gave them a very quick paint job to see whether the poses are recognizable and the details are visible. Some of the detail is hard to see without some kind of shading.

So here you see one of them, explaining the finer points of aerial combat to his peers and a passing SM.

Image

So the 6 poses are,
the ever boring "stand to attention" - which is the start pose for all my infantry,
the iconic "stand at ease" - good,
guy smoking - a bit too stiff leg-wise,
guy showing flight maneuver - needs bigger hands,
guy leaning on extended arm - ok, could lean a bit more,
guy kneeling and looking up - ok.

Next will most likely be some SM objectives, I will probably use some of the misprinted bomber hulls for that :)

Regards
SH

PS: M
y fears of getting bald were unjustified. The hairs (and grit) on the models are not my own, but the room where I spray my miniatures wad just very dusty and the cat was only to happy to add some hair to the dust.
Cleaned it up, have all hopes that the hair and grit problem will not be seen on the next batch of models.

For the technical minded:
The rivet size is down to .3mm diameter.

Thanks for all the comments,
they are appreciated.

I didn't do any objectives, I did something for my Impies instead.
As you might know, my Imperial army is under heavy Steam Punk influence, which was sparked by using British Troopers as Praetorian infantry.

I used mainly Dystopian Wars models for vehicles and planes. Only for Shadowsord, Baneblade and Sentinel I did not find a
replacement.

I use a converted Forgeworld Sjadowsword and when I looked at it, I liked it enough to decide not to redo it.
The Sentinel on the other hand was a gap stopper, so I designed a replacement.

The design is based on a Cadian Seninel. To give it some Steam Punk flair, I equipped it with some funnels with crowns and made it's hull wider. Orks would also like it :)
I find it close enough to a Sentinel to be easily recognized, but also steam punky enough to fit the rest of the army.

As I was touching the army, I decided to add some more Leman Russ. That's a Dystopian War French 'R-6' tank model with battle cannon and lascannon added.

I did this before with plastic tubing and a milling machine, but now I just printed the barrels - so, I still have to drill the holes into the models to hold the barrels :)

For once the original does look better than the photograph. The paint job doesn't look as bad in real as in this Macro shot.

Have a nice week

Last week I did some objectives as planned, but for the Impies instead of the Space Marines.

I stayed with the theme, so the objectives are comprised of Bell tents and a bit of scenery like sandbags, barrels, boxes one a stove.

You can use them as objectives

or when in need as scenery

Have a nice week.

Stephan

Hello,
long time no see.
I've been busy with life and other stuff. Besides that I built some hardware and wrote some software to control the 3D printer with an iPad. I also revamped parts of the website http://brumbaer.de i.e. added categories for Epic and 3D printing.
And I'm wasting endless hours on trying to print a Bastion.
I managed to get one printed, but after that everything just ......
Ok I painted up the the good copy and the most miserable one

Image

If you wouldn't know it, you could think I designed a ruin.

But no, it's disaster and not by design.

Still trying to get it to print consistently :(

Have a nice weekend
Stephan

Both are impressive, all the best with fixing this.
