Not totally sure if this is the best place to ask this but I'm looking for advice on some WWI cavalry models that could be used as Death Korps of Krieg Rough Rider proxies. Something like this: ![]() or even this: ![]() would be perfect. I'm also not totally sure if they'll come from a 6mm or 10mm range. If it comes to it I'm sure I could knock something up with CAD but it'd be nice to avoid having to do that... Any input gratefully received... |

I've had a look there - hadn't noticed before but maybe the early German cavalry might fit the bill. I've dropped him a line anyway... Edit: got a reply from Ian - nothing ideal. A couple carrying lances but nothing wearing gas masks or wearing long coats. |

Gah - Why is it that webstores (especially miniature ones) make the fundamental mistake again and again of not putting pictures with their products? It makes me tear my hair that it seems so obvious to everyone but them that if we dont know what it looks like, we're probably not gunna buy it... ![]() |

It doesn't matter what the models look like, as long as they represent what they're supposed to represent. But, yes, it is infuriating to be searching for a particular type of model, get to the retailer's page, and just find a list. ![]() |

berzerkmonkey wrote: It doesn't matter what the models look like, as long as they represent what they're supposed to represent. That is so zen. I feel that all instances of the counts-as rule are encapsulated in, and should be replaced with, this sentence. Carry on. Edit: Though it would be nice to add "and only what they're supposed to represent" to the end. |

Which is why I never buy miniatures from sites with no pictures. It's inexcusable in this day and age. Primarch |

Lawhock76 wrote: Wait for Baccus to do ww1 later this year, I'm really looking forward to this new range, not only for epic proxies but for WW1 stuff on its own, the irregular stuff looks ok, but baccus stuff has some really nice details. I find baccus has its flaws, but what it lacks in quality control, is far made up for for the insane amount of details that go in to their stuff. Plus they seem to be on the larger size of the 6mm range so they fit nicely with the GW epic stuff. |
