Post subject:  Warlord Titans

Hi everyone it has been a long time since i last posted, so why not return with a titan. This is my Legio Metalica Warlord battle titan, he is part of the old Six Titan box set.
I have had the box for about 22 years! and have only just got round to painting one fully. He has no name at the moment, so suggestions are welcome. I have to say i really enjoyed painting him up finally. It is a close copy of the one shown way back in WD 142!

really nice paintjob there, very old-skool in colour palette, but really great technique, hope to see the other 5 painted up similarly (and not in 22 years time!)

Love the old school paint scheme!
Brings back a lot of good memories for me - when SM2 was new, titans were new, the line drawings in WD and the rule books were amazing and the battle reports I re-read dozens of times!

I suggest "Large Ulrich" for the legio metallica. Latin is: Magna Ulricus

Thanks everyone, I am really enjoying doing the Old School theme of my armies. I have made a start on a second one. I plan on not taking so long to finish this one.
Thanks maddOctOr for the name suggestion. You are right admiral-tee the old battle reports are the best. I re-read them alot.

Aye, as an old-school man myself, I've got to say that's a belter!

...in case you aren't familiar with that phrase, that means it's very good indeed!

Love it - looks better than the original.

WD142... my first WD :)

I think i have those mass ranks of bright red blood angels formed a lifelong obsession. Must have made a big impression !

When i gave away most of my old WDs this is one of 3 i kept. Still lovingly sitting in my loft 22 years later. :D

I've never been a fan of red titans (too common), but I can still appreciate you've done an excellent job!

Not sure I remember 142 specifically though, my fav issue of WD ever is 144, which I did have but don't anymore....

The old school vibe is great. All you're lacking is a banner hung from the arms or legs now!

Ha all this talk about old WD's has made me go and get them from the
Thanks Bissler I am an old school englishman living in Canada. Blip you are right WD142 is ace, the battle pic with the Orks is great and forgot it has the section with all the imperial titan weapons.   I stupidly got rid of a load of my old WD's, gave myself a punch in the face as punishment.
Thanks Riqende, 144 is on my list of ones I need to find.
Jimmyzimms thanks, I was thinking of making some banners, they would look cool.
