Hi all,

I wanted to move on from painting my Steel Legion. That was a LOT of blue. :-\
I wanted to also try a list that was completely different, yet still appeal to me. Loyalist marines didn't appeal to me (despite the ATSKNF being a very attractive rule) however the Red Corsairs did.
Access to some current SM equipment yet also aren't blind 'Chaos God worshippers'. 8)

So, after many months of painting, specifically the past 3 months which every Sunday and a few nights per week, of being hunched over a table and making a mess - I finished them in time (12 hours to go) for Onyx's War Without End tournament in Perth last Sunday.

I'm not a great painter, I rely a lot on drybrushing and washes to make up for my lack of skill ;)

They look even better in person ... plus they come with cupcakes! The size of the ships was very intimidating!

Great game mate - your enthusiasm is as great as your sportsmanship. Hope to see you playing more EA soon!

Yes, the Harbinger has a problem with size - it's a taller than an Imperator Titan. It looks more fierce than what it really is. :D
Though Ignore Cover and 2 blast markers plus additional barrage template is effective. 8)

It still needs 5+ RA across all lists, not just the 4+ standard it has on most. :-\

Thanks guys for the comments :)

It's not clear on all the pics but my fiance draw the small clenched fist icon that the Red Corsairs have - on the Chaos Warlord, the Chaos Lord standards (4mm wide), the Hellblades (yes, they're about 2mm wide...), the Strike Cruiser, the Thunderhawks (doors on the side) and the Harbinger (though the black wash gathered at the location of the icon and it's unclear).

She has significant store credit now, if you get my drift ;) 8)

That brassy/gold is excellent and works very well with the red and green.

Your terminators, where are their spikes? was the removal on grounds of aesthetics, or are you using them as parts for another conversion?

This is a fantastic army which was a clear winner of best themed army on the day.
