The DRM stuff is top notch, love those attack gunships. Great work on the canopies. I have some myself somewhere in storage, the only thing I dont like about the models are the rotor blades. Im changing mine when I get home!

Wow, those war bands are great-looking, and the kans turned out really well, too. The tau skimmers really look like something from Akira, so you really succeeded getting the manga vibe through. I agree with yorkie about the helicopters, great paint job, but not a fan of the rotor blades' design.

Hope to see much more the coming year.

Time to get back into some sort of regular routine with 6mm painting.

The last couple of years haven't seen much on the small scale front, except for when EpiComp rolls around and inspires me to actually get something completed.

The release of Horizon Wars has got me very excited about 6mm again, and I've dug out these lovely Athena Assault and Destroyer squads from Onslaught to complete the set that started with one base for EpiComp. They will also do very nicely as Alpha Legion Terminators for 30/40k.

This lot should be joined by a Tactical detachment, Land Raiders, Contemptors and a beetle back Titan before too long.

Thanks everyone.

I've had a bit of run at quite a lot of the army over the last couple of weeks. Here are two tactical detachments, Contemptor dreadnoughts and Land Raiders. I have a couple of Thunderhawks (thunderbricks) to add along with the titans.

Looks great – how was they painted? is it silver undercoat washed/glazed green and blue?

(think it was covered before, but maybe in a different thread)

That's right: Army Painter Plate Metal spray, with Tamiya Clear Blue and Green in a 75:25 mix, and then a Guilliman Blue glaze. I did a 54mm Alpha Legionnaire that had the same scheme; maybe you saw it doing the rounds and got the scheme info from that on another forum?

Coming along nicely!
Is there any difference gameplaywise in epic with the round / square bases compared to the long ones?
