Hi Folks,

So I'm interested in starting to work on a Necron army for Epic... Back in the day when SG used to support their forums there was a plethora of material easily sourced on the internet regarding this, but it's rather difficult to find information now.

Is there a group that are currently playtesting the Necron list? If so, how do I get in contact with them, and might they have information on how to find ideas for converting necrons in Epic scale?

Not sure who to contact but here's a few modelling ideas:

Infantry:
Obviously the old Chaos androids would be the best choice but considering the price they go for on E-bay I think other options might be taken into consideration.
I've heard of people using Ork Boyz as prozies. You might want to try and trim them slightly so they look less bulky but it might work.
Chaos lords has been used for commanders etc.

Monoloths: Well look at Vanvlak's entry in the EpiComp. I think using Slottabases is an excellent starting point for building the very geometrically shaped monoliths....and who says the GW version is the only way a monolith can look? ???

Beyond chaos androids, your labors will be mostly conversion work.

Anybody remember that necron army that was sold on e-bay?

I'd love to see an Epic Necron Force from G/W or F/W, but as is we'll be lucky to see F/Orks ... :(

hello here you have my necrons troops, now I have 2 palanx of ten stand and 6 destroyers. now I'm thinking about the necron monolith... :L  :oo

when I finish the Army maybe I will write a necron army list for netepic 5.0

hi! I just bought a 24 necrons ( 6 stands ) more , I want three palanx. I calculate that I will count with a six  to eight destroyers.

But its veeeeery difficult todo the monolith I trying and it's , ooouw!! , it's as dificult as beat a titan with a power glove!!

take a look to my necron monolith and give me an opinion.

I made from polystirene ( and a knive of course!! ?:P )

The canons are a tubular pieces from the classic SM stand banners.

I paint the symbol over a photocopy.

I used the white wood glue as a polystirene barnish before paint the model.
