I like the riverine Man O War models best! Followed closely by the Leviathans! Great stuff once again L4

Great bunch of Squats L4, and not a nid in sight Very nice indeed though it was a little weird seeing all those SS and Wermacht number plates scattered about. I like the reversed mortars, makes more sense that way, I think I'll do mine similarly, and, as Tas, the Riverines are groovy.

Wow - that's a sight for sore eyes. Love the Man o' War ships, but the rest of the stuff is just about the best Squat army I've ever seen. Sometimes I feel they were offed by GW because of the over colourful stuff they had - not that orks wern't colourful as well (still are, too!), but L-4s pa;ette works much so better on the Squats.

It brings a tear to my eye seeing all those Squats! Very nicely done, L4. Makes me want to do some more work on my Squat army.

Thanks Boyz!
Glad you like my Tactical Squats!
Yes, I use a lot of German Transfers, (8th SS, 29th PG,etc.) especially on my Squats! GREIF (Griffin was Rommel's Command track IIRC!), the transfer fit better on the Big Gun! The eyes on the Overlord, were from a WWI Fokker Tri-plane!
But there are some US & UK insignia in there! Like the US TD units, and various Tank formations, and UK units (1st Armoured Div., etc.)!
We use mortars like real mortars, so yes, we paint them accordingly!
And the Squat Riverine Flotilla has steamed up the river a few times! I was tempted to put a Squat water skiing behind one of the Gun Boats! "Greenskins don't Surf!"

Quote (Tas @ 08 Dec. 2005 (00:26)) | I like the riverine Man O War models best! | Thats totally bizarre... I just picked up 2 packs of Dwarven Monitors from the Man o' War range for use as riverine craft in epic.
And here I was thinking I was being original...
Sharp looking stuff L4!

Great work L4.
My favourite touch was the barrel extension on the Leviathan, makes it far less 'cartoony' in my opinion.
Now I've finished some big bits of uni work, this has really inspired me to get on with updating De'Aynes!

Legion,
I just had more time to look through the great pictures and I have a bad question/observation. Are the mole mortars suppose to face with the downward part facing the enemy? i.e they shoot into the ground.
I'm not sure. Thanks

I'm not sure. ?Thanks | I believe he did that on purpose to use as regular mortars instead of mole mortars.
