Top deck all covered over next will be the walls and the command booth.

Aaron mate this is what i meant by useing the two sections beside each other to create a linear defence made up of multiple wall sections. See the two pics below, as you can see a continuous line with inset weapon positions can be created without the need to make a special piece.

Oh also i wanted to ask if anybody has any ideas for the deck area. I want to add some kind of textured/grated deck and i'm on the lookout for some ready embossed plastic sheet.

Some etched brass mesh pieces laid down, and then add the floor connection points across the top of those?

If you scroll down to almost the bottom of the page you'll see etched brass gratings, these could work for what i believe your trying to do.

Thanks for the idea and the link Blind it looks like some useful scratch build items can be had from them. But i'm really after plastic sheet for this project.

In fact i've just had an idea of who to ask psypher should be able to help, PM's. :)

Basic walls added, these will be detailed up later.

Also ordered some embossed sheet for the deck so i hope to have that by the weekend.

A little bit further along on the fortification.

Added half round strip to the wall ends to cover over the holes, built the basic command cabin and made steps for access to the battlements.

The embossed sheet i got for the deck is quite thin so i've added some old plastic sheet to the base which should stiffen it when the actual embossed sheets are applied.

Once the ramps are done and the weapon mounts built i will have the basic model finished then it's just a matter of adding detail to the thing.
