This thread will now be a catch-all for my 6mm affliction activities

Since way back I have longed for a Nurgle cult style army. Initially I wanted to create a ragtag fanatic horde of giant-snail followers for 40K. However, that never came to be and having abandoned that scale for epic I am thinking of 6mm slimification instead.

However, the nurgle war-engines are fairly difficult to come by (or ridiculously priced) and I have been toying with my own ideas. So here is one for a Plague Tower. Admittedly a very rough sketch indeed, just to get an idea of the basic shape and components.

Is it too boring?

Suitably slimed i recon that could work. Not sure about the gun in the main turret, does not look so nurgly – maybe more or a mortar or catapult?

The track section looks particularly slug-like to me :)

Thanks, I was a bit unsure about using the old super heavy trick, but I think it might work. Guns are placeholders. A mortar is preferable, I agree. I also need two battle cannons which I plan to mount one above the other in bunker style slits in the tower.

Classically, Nurgle has two superheavy weapons - the Plauge mortar (60cm range, lots of disrupt BPs) and the Rot Cannon (90 cm range, a single APAT shot)

what you've got would do nicely for the latter.

Time for some threadromancing. I just wanted those of you who gave me good advice to know that it did not pass unnoticed.
Still the same approach, a more suitable Nurgle bulk to the chassis this time around, though. Courtesy E&C-ware.

The whole assembly, bar the barrel for the main snot-gun. The maingun will be a standard simple low fixmount design, with organic guckiness attached.

Thanks! Some crudeness here and there, but seeing as minor corruption is to be expected in these particular demon engines, I am quite happy with the results. I had fun building them. Some more pics on angles and company. The actual camera angle distorts scale a bit, it is actually substantially bigger than the contagion in the foreground...

I really like your work on these so far! I'd maybe add a bit of 'flesh' to the frontal cannon though. Somewhat like Granny Wendy's recent plaguereaper conversion.

If you haven't yet, give liquid green stuff a try. I've been using it to make Nurglifified infantry and it's really good for getting natural fleshy layers on minis at this scale.

Thanks! I'm not really satisfied with the main gun either. I'll look into that liquid stuff! Also planning on adding chains and piping before I start painting.
