As title says.

I am after some troops that are most suited to be SM Scouts, without having to go and buy actual SM Scouts.

I already have just 5 bases of scouts so not so useful in current numbers, and a friend who I often play against has none and wants some (so when I take my IG out I have more targets..)

That proxie comparison topic I thought would of been a good place to look but its long and all jumbled up, seems like the subject of suitable proxies could do with being a much smaller post with sorted sections so persons such as myself can find out this information without doing long long search. (actually searching for scouts got lots of everything except what in its pure form could be used as scouts).

Any help would be gratefully received.

The Shadow Knights are what I used. I swapped their heads with Catachans though, and added Bolt Pistols from the E40k Scout models as well:

I had already spotted yours Dave, I am not one for converting en mass, as in this case I have some GW Scouts (old plastics) but will not be cutting weapons of them, but actually using them.

As it turns out I already have Shadow Knights cell here, and the DRM Scouts..

What I was actually hoping for is infantry with light armour, although I will now also be considering stats for sniper equiped teams.


What however makes my response sad is having a close look at some unpainted mini's I have I think found some suitables. (after indentifying who made them)
EW SCPSKU143 - Guild Legionnaire Decurion and SCPSKU144 - Guild Legionnaire w/Gauss Rifle, a cut down of the weapons will I think suit the bolters, they in looking closer with a light armour that can pass for the carapace armour of the SM Scouts.
