Not really a modelling topic, but I always had a little problem with the transporting of 3000+ point ork army This is the third attempt to store and transport the boyz. ![]() How do you do it? |

What kind of budget? I use GW cases, but that's out of sheer momentum. I already own them, and they serve the purpose. If I were to start over I'd probably use Battlefoam or Sabol, likely Battlefoam. I'm using some Battlefoam trays that fit GW cases for my Guard, and love them. As for what fits, I have about 25k of Guard in 7 GW sized trays (trays for battlefoam's own bags are slightly larger), all in a large GW case. My nascent Ork army has 3k of infantry plus a dozen tanks or so in a single GW tray. Remember you can fit 4 stands in a 1" x 1.5" slot in inch thick foam. Interestingly, you can fit a lot more models in a GW case with Battlefoam than GW trays, due to battlefoam slots being denser ( 5 x 11 instead of 4 x 9 for GW), and slightly thinner (you can fit four Battlefoam trays in a GW case, but only three GW trays). This doubles your storage space (220 slots versus 108 in a small GW case). |

Mate, I use Army Transporter, you can tailor your needs with their systems as it allows you pull out individual sections to create the right size for your minis. Take a look ttp://www.saboldesigns.net/figurefoam.html I have more than a hundred of these carrying Marines, Chaos, GUard, Eldar and have never had an issue with them. They are easy to stack and the cases are great for taking away. Cheers Aaron |

I use a Feldherr Case, which is a little bit less expensive than Battlefoam. The trays also fit into GW cases. http://www.feldherr.com/de/?SID=92308fb ... 6c5ebf7f87 My older Armies have a magnetic layer under the bases and are in a metallic toolbox (so I can also use the side panels of the box to store them). Can take a pic when I'm back from work. @Aaron your link doesn't work? |

If my army grows more, i will have to look for an army case like these. Sabol does not ship to EU, so will check the rest if the horde is too big. the "h" was missing from Aaron's link: http://www.saboldesigns.net/figurefoam.html |

I'm using a couple of KR cases. They're cardboard, but they fit snugly in the bag I usually carry around, so I don't have openly carry a GW case or similar. Undercover minigamer! http://www.krmulticase.com/ |

KR Cases are my suggestion also. |

Quote: I'm using a couple of KR cases. Same here. One which is the 610NS, 5 trays, and has 50 slots per tray which are perfect for infantry and basic vehicles. The other is a 28mm case, big pick and pluck section which holds half a dozen gargants, and a load of standard slots which cater for the bigger vehicles, objectives, aircraft etc. Maybe not the best out there, but pretty well priced and durable enough... |

I'm not using the N trays, as I want to have one army per case - they don't come in halftrays unfortunatly. the trays whic are 4 deep work fine with infantry, but vehicles often feel like they overload the tray - the N trays are reinforced, aren't they? |

Quote: the N trays are reinforced, aren't they? I think they are reinforced with a layer of card. Not 100% sure though, would need to check... |
