Just wondering what people felt an apt paint scheme for an Ordinatus was, as I received Ordinatus Mars through the post this morning.

SHould I paint him in Legio colours, or something different, as the cartoony blues and reds used when they were first released don't fit in now.

I think a nice deep 'Mechanicus' style red would be spot on. Although if you think it would be too bright, maybe you could try camo/battleship grey with red details, that sort of thing.
I see Ordinati more as Mechanicus objects, not as specifically part of a Titan legion, but adding detail like the legion symbol to show it is acting in support in a specific campaign might be quite cool and would help to tie it to the rest of the force.

Red! Any dulled-down shade of red! My other Ad Mech scheme favours sand colours, or a mix of sand and red. Greys, as Stormshadow pointed out, are good too.  :D

Has to be red (see mine at D'aynes :D )
Even though they could do with a little more work!

Dark "Mechanicus" red for sure. Basecoat black, heavy drubrush of scab red followed by blood red and finally a few highlights by adding blazing orange to the mix.
Add some nice black/yellow stripes for an Industrial feel. http://www.mustangsalling.dk/techguard.htm I think it looks nice
:;):

Cheers! :)

It's too big to camouflage.

Why not use "parade" colours?

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Right - 3 Warhamster bases long edge to long edge will provide me with a base that's the right size for it (just). Haven't had chance to look for a replacement secondary dish, but I'm thinking the one from the 40k Rhino Accessory sprue might do.

Also planning on putting a couple of old plastic Robots on the base as defense Servitors - good or bad idea?

Actually I think it would look awsome to add a bunch of servitors and fanatic Adeptus Mechanicus to the base. I'm thinking something right out of those old epic blockbuster films of the 60iers and 70ies.

Cheers! :)
