so several companies in the 6mm 'genre' seem stuck in the 90s cottage industry mindset, with no pictures of their product and i'm looking for a line of infantry that will suit my newly minted tanith list. alas, the usual standby companies (DRM, SCP, even GW) dont have anything particularly suitable, and i'm hesitant to convert capes on all my infantry. so i must venture further afield. does anyone have suggestions? for those not familiar with the tanith visual style, they're pretty much unarmoured infantry with cloaks and lasguns, so ww1 or 2 onwards lines could probably work |

i mean to tell you that i need more than a single pose of infantry to represent atleast 3 different formations :P i have a bunch of them, they'll be my scouts, or snipers, depending on what else shows up |

This thread brings up a real issue, the 6mm sci fi infantry choices aren't terrible, but they certainly are limited and what is up with the lack of pictures?? I really prefer 'Epic heroic' (chunky) scale 6mm for infantry as opposed to say GHQ (gracile-'true scale')6 mm scale. Irregular Miniatures has some real intriguing offerings, especially in the WWI and WWII infantry. From the very few photos even something like the WWI German Jaeger might make nice Tanith and the Early German would make great Kreig. I have reall been tempted although they are a bit pricey. Scotia interests me too, but they don't seem to concerned about even bothering to sell stuff on the internet. Here's a link that may give one an idea of the sculpt style. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/bob_macken ... arison.htm If I order anything I will be sure to post photos, it would be nice to 'break out' of the same old same old for infantry choices, especially since Epic can easily fit in with WWI and WWII. |

After re-appraising the scuplts in the link I'm going to order a few GHQs since I'm in the US and it's convenient, will post comparisons when I recieve them. Eureka in AUS has irregular 6mm if that helps you Jaggedtoothgrin. |

If the GHQ Infantry compares to the "Heroic" 6mm, like their vehicles, they're going to be small. ![]() Russ vs. T-80 ![]() Chimaera vs. BMP-2 |

Isn't Epic armor conceived to be larger in general than modern armor (where as our centuries armor is low profile to make a smaller target and a Land Raider is almost 2 building stories tall)? According to the comparision link the GHQ individual infantry is 6.5 mm, also there are photos on GHQ site, I'm enthused, some of the stuff looks pretty interesting. If I can put up with all the unidentifiable weaponry from the sci fi 6mm manufacturers I wouldn't mind some GHQ 'Tallarns" http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/tw1.html or http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/tw14.html. Some of the third worlders with the right paint job might make passable Tanith. Theres Gurkas and Russians with fur hats too, if the size looks good I think this might be pretty cool stuff. |

GHQs modern infantry is bigger than there WWII figures, more like 7/8mm for most. |
