as just posted to the E:A Forums...
As promised, since some people are reporting having recieved their pre-ordered copies of the swordwind book, I've uploaded two pages of Eldar pics amongst todays update on The Mercenary Brush.

These pieces were all done for the studio (under various tight deadlines... thanks guys ) & are the same ones you'll find in theonline store & the books themselves.

Of particular interest are probably the new Super Serpent SHGT & the Shining Spears models, both of which have appeared elsewhere online previously, but in no great detail.

I hope they satisfy some of your hungers for pics of the new miniatures - personally I cant wait to start painting some of them for myself ?:D

Great work Paul! I really like the contrast with the shinging spears and aspects.... I feel inspired to go back and redo some of my own aspects. Is an Eldar character pack with Exarchs coming out any time soon?  Do shining spear Exarchs come with the shining spear pack?

Wow !  Nice !  So the Falcons and Wave Serpents are upgunned and beefed up !?  And the Shining Spears and Super Serpent NEW ?! Are the Fire Dragons new ?!  Any other new Models ?!?  ??? :)

So the Falcons and Wave Serpents are upgunned and beefed up !?  And the Shining Spears and Super Serpent NEW ?! Are the Fire Dragons new ?!  Any other new Models ?!?    

I don't know about the Falcons and WS (I think they are the same as the E40k ones) but there's a Fire Dragon + Dire Avenger blister available for preorder in the UK online store.
All the Super Heavies are new as are the Revenant titan and Avatar models.

Beautiful, as usual you give us something to aspire too, and just when I was thinking that I was getting better at painting :D
I don't suppose you know when the Spears will be available? or for that matter any of the new minis.

Hi Guys,

thanks for the kind comments, much appreciated :D

The only Eldar Character pack I'm fully aware of is the court of the young king, but I dont know a release date for it.

I dont actually know any release dates - I wish I did then I'd have more of a fighting stick to use whilst trying to get the darned Competition prizes (2 months late... Grrrr... :angry: )

The Falcons & wave Serpents are the same as the E40K models.
New models for the Eldar will be:
4 new SHGTs
Eldar Revenant Titans
Metal Fire Dragons & Dire Avengers blister
Avatar & Court of the Young King
Shining Spears
& the infantry sprue has been remastered to have no harlequins but more scouts I think (the ones I painted were from the old sprues...)
ummm... I get thefeeling I've missed one but I cant think what...

I should have remembered that one - I saw Tom Merrigan painting the thing!

Well there are certainly worse things to be than a hobbit :D

Funny thing about the Firestorm; It is probably one of the most anonymous of the new Swordwind models. People are allways busy talking about the Engines of Vaul or Titans.
Actually it was only the second time I read through your post that I remembered the Firestorm: I haven't even budgetted for a pack of those myself!:p

The Metal Fire Dragons & Dire Avengers blister & the infantry sprue (remastered) are already now available as well as the 40k stuff (Waveserpents, Falcons et al) at least on advance (though when I ordered a couple it was only the book that was actually on hold)

Very nice stuff, Tuff. I must admit to preferring the green bases to the brown ones, but I particularly like the shading on the Jet Bikes (always more impressive on rank and file units) and the Banshees, which would seem to be becoming'your' unit in Epic.

Swordwind arrived for me yesterday, and while I like it, I will probably play with the force lists for my own Craftworld as there are certain things that I dont like so much. It did take me long enough to work the equation:

Fanatic mag cancelled at issue 10 = 3 issues paid for = 3 x ?4 = Swordwind!

I had kinda assumed the firestorm would be in the falcon blister but since they come in 3's rather than 5's i guess not. Or are the numbers of vehicles in each blister wrong on UK website?
