Hi,
I couldn't find my orks and chaos posts so I figured I'll just open one thread and post my WIPS here from now on :).

I got some ork miniatures from a friend so I could build some reinforcements for my horde.

Hi,
I made objectives for the IG. They were made similar to the CI, from plasticard and some bits to details them. I think I should have done them on a lower base and not this thick one, but too late for that noe..
Thanks for watching,
Eyal.

Hi,
I've got my first Baneblades company ready. They are from Exodus wars range, and I'm planning on getting their other two types as well.
took my ages to paint, I maybe will need to remove one of the highlights next time.. or maybe I'll just paint them like this :P

Thanks for taking a look, I also took a photo of my entire IG force.

Hi,
The highlights are all painted one on top of another while letting a bit of the former highlight to show. All are GW colors, but I use black and white from vallejo.

Metal (painted after the base gray):
boltgun metal
Wash it with badab black wash
highlight: mithril silver

Gray:
base: codex gray
1st highlight painted along edges ETC: codex gray + fortress gray 1:1
2nd highlight: fortress gray
3rd highlight: fortress gray + white

Light blue:
base: ice blue
1st highlight: ice blue + white
2nd highlight: ice blue + more white
3rd highlight: white + ice blue
(but only the CI has the 2nd blue highlight).

When all is dry, I pin washed everything with lamp black oil color + mineral white spirits, which may be a bit dark but I like the harsh contrast. You can wash with dark gray instead.
The oil color is great as it takes long time to cure, and you can fix issues, with a second brush wet with clean spirits, or just wipe excess wash with a cloth.

HTH,
Eyal.
