Took my orks and played a game against fellow taccommer Lindstrom's space marines. Sadly forgot my camera so no pictures. I had to do a lot of proxing since I haven't come so far with orks. I actually had to play a large stone painted by my 5-year old son as my supa-stompa. A bit embarrassing using a stone so I decided that my supa-stompa was to be prioritized as the next project.

Here's what I've come up with. The pictures are obviously WIP's, a lot of gaps that I need to fill with greensuff/bits :)

Now I'm not to sure about the rocket and the ork meckk. Here's a picture without the lower
"shock-attack-gun-mekk". What do you guys think should I get rid of him and/or the rocket?

cheers!

Edit: I forgot, does anyone of you recognize where the metal guns is from? I think it's an old epic ork miniature, could be wrong though.

I like it but I think the claw arms and shock attack mek are a bit much.

I like the mek on the top though I'm tempted to suggest putting him straddling the rocket.

Thanks :)

Yeah I sort of felt the two arms were a bit much too, I want to go with the mega-shoppa close combat option though so I
need to keep one I think.

You just gave a great idea!

Like it lots. Clever idea to use the form of the stompa as a point of departure. I agree that the claw bits is a bit too much. Perhaps because the feel to small and weak compared to the overall bulk? How big is it compared to a great gargant?

The gun in question looks like a Quake Cannon from a Knight Castellan.

Great work Borka, what a clever and resourceful use of so many plastic bits. You really turned them into something cool and useful, can't wait to see it painted up.

I think it looks great as it is. In my world when it comes to orks. More is more!!

Hi again everyone!

Thanks for your comments and appreciation.

Time for another update. I've used the last ten days to finish my Supa-stompa. I'm quite pleased with it except that I went a bit over board with
the inks on the metal so it looks to dark/oily. I don't have the energy to go back and do it all over again so it'll have to do.
After a few tries I found a yellow combination that works rather well considering what I wanted to achieve. It's a dull tone but still clearly yellow (the pictures shows the yellow a bit darker than it really is). Yellow is hard, and I have never used it before as an army color. I hope you like it! :)

Anyways here is my finished Supa-Stompa

I have also had the time to get my Warlord painted. I have, after my last game, decided to make his warband a big size. So, as you can see on
the picture below, I only have 5 units left now.

I think the yellow turned out just fine. Not too bright, but still discernible yellow. As for the metals, I always thought oily/rusty was the way to go for orks, but it also depends on the rest of the army. Internal consistency is more important than the actual look.

I am a busy busy dad over the summer (house projects and parental leave), but if you are still in Stockholm when autumn comes, I am up for some games.

Regards,
Fredmans

Edit: I am sad to see that the big mek is gone. I think he added something (apart from his obvious orky know-wotz).

Nice one! Yellows look good. It always gets me after a while that you have your camera on mega-macro-zapp-mode and that these minis are actually quite tiny. How about a group shot?

Thanks. Yeah I'm using my wife's macro objective. Maybe I shouldn't though because close ups of 6mm scale don't really do them justice. They actually look better in real life.

I'll do a group shot when I have finished the last 5 units for the warlords warband :)

You get the 'Officially Awesome' stamp for that gargant.
