The woods came out great. I am working on some terrain as well, tyranid terrain. I have a somewhat different approach (textured bases, moveable pieces). Hopefully, I'll have finished something by the 8th.

Orcs in Warmaster, Orks in Epic, I thought I spotted a trend, until the Tau project turned up. Good luck, and looking forward to meeting them as well.

Tyranid themed terrain that sounds great, looking forward to seeing that. Perhaps we could have a Tau - Tyranid matchup on the 8:th that would be interesting.

Well I do like orc(k)s so there might have been a pattern but those warmaster orcs are actually just puny slaves because they're part of a chaos dwarf force Image ;)

nicely done. I really like the woods and the ork bases came out coooooool!

One question - did you freehand the ork head in the banner?

No it's one of the heads from the space ork transfer sheets. I just painted the black lines around it for it to stand out more. I also gave it a wash of devlan mud to
take the shininess that the transfer sheet produce away and also to give a more worn effect.

Thanks all of you! :)
It really helps motivate me, I tend to lose interest rather quickly in a project so never seem to finish any army. But one of the good things about epic is that it's very fast to paint so an army is still achievable. :)

Yeah me too! I'm eagerly awaiting this bunch;

12 Fire warrior units
4 pathfinder units
6 Stealth units
6 Broad sides
and 6 Crisis units)

that will perhaps soon arrive at my home.

cheers!

Yeah I agree! I think I might have to go to another tournament with them to get me some motivation to finish
them. Then perhaps you and I could have some ork on ork action, my footslogging boyz might actually get to use their CC value for ones that way Image like in a proper waaagh and not just get shot up!

Cheers dude!

Btw I'm very much liking your landas in your thread! Image

Agreed! I have remade my army completely since we met, and I too have tons of non-wagoned infantry. Orks in CC... That would be a welcome change :)

Edit: By the way, I thought orkses were an essentially asexual mushroom based lifeform :)

I've worked a bit on the Devilfish(/skyray) and have been trying to come up with a fitting paint theme for them. I'm going to do the dried grass bases that you've seen on the orks and necrons because I'd like to make a board in the same manner. Since Tau use camouflage I've tried a sort of brown/beige theme.

Bad weather with thick clouds made for rather bad light and consequently bad photos, but here's the best one.

I took some pictures with the flash on as well here's one.

Comments and Critique is welcome if you can make anything out of the above two lousy pictures. I actually like it, but at the same time it might be a bit dull to make an entire army just using brown and beige (that's why i did some parts blu/greyish to get a least a little colour) so I'm a bit uncertain.

Yeah I know and that was such a bad joke, I think I'll actually edit it away after posting this post.

cheers!

I like the camo(might setal it for parts of my IG army)
years ago GW had a blue/metallic color
this one highlighted with chainmail or mithril silver
could look like alien metal
or you try light grey highlighted with space wolves grey

I thought it was funny... Anyway, brilliant Tau camo. Simple yet effective. I actually like Tau a lot more in epic scale. I don't think that an entire army in this scheme would look dull in any way. Rather, I find it suggestive of Tau fluff. Which I know precious little about, though.
