Ok time for another update I have a 3000 point practice game with my necron army, which will be
the only one with all 3000 points that I'll have time to do before the tournament.

So with that motivating me I managed to actually do some necrons instead of orks and finished another
warrior phalanx plus my three units of piranahs. I had started them a week ago so only had to do the shoulders
heads and the blue sternal "bone" today.

Here are also pictures of the two monoliths I finished a few days back.

This is the list I've chosen for the tournament and that I will be playing tonight.
I'll take some pictures tonight and post here.

In hurry Borka out.
cheers

Nice - I like the non-metallic skeleton look. A different take on the necrons.

Thanks CaptPiett

Sadly no game tonight as my wife turned sick in the afternoon so I have to
stay home and take care of the children. A real bummer as it was the last
opportunity for me to do a practice game before the tournament.

cheers

Ok time for another update. I'm home on parents leave with my one year old daughter so I paint mainly in
daytime when she sleeps and her older brothers are at daycare, but one of the boys turned sick as well and was home with me.
I lost two days worth of painting time, not good considering I leave on thursday for the tournament.

But anyways I managed today to finish the Eques maniple with Lord upgrade. So here they are.

4x ordinary and 2x heavies (on the right).

And here's from another angle

...I like big butt and I cannot lie and you other brothers can't... :P ;)

Considering the time I have left ,I think I'll manage to finish the two monoliths I have left and convert
the warbarque, But I will most likely only have time to do the green basecoat on it and the obelisks.

I also have to convert two pylons.

Stay tuned! :)

Cheers

Time for a short update.

Finished the last two monliths today, so all five are painted now. Only the barque and the obelisks left and one unit of immortals that I forgot to paint.

Anyways here they are (sorry for the crappy picture, evening sun)

Image

I also realized when I looked through the starting post of this thread that I forgot to include the first necron stuff I painted. It was the first of the three warrior phalanx that I painted.

Image

I wanted to try something different from the all metal look so did blue shoulder pads. I didn't like it, they looked to
cartoonish so I will repaint them if I get the time.

Back to the painting table!

cheers

Yeh, I love the colour scheme too. The blue and bone/gold works really well :)

Ok so I went to the tournament and I had a blast! so I thought I'd share a few pictures of the action. I have now played a total of 6 epic games and I really enjoy the game mechanics.
I was not able to finnish all the necron stuff sadly so had to play with some black miniatures.

I met two ork armies, one eldar and one chaos. I managed to loose three of them. But I regained some honnor by winning my last game which was against an ork army

Here are a few sample pictures:

Image
just after I finnished some chosen in the forest, that Greater deamon was a real headache throughout the game.

Next getting a lot of pressure after initially killing a guardian/gun formation.

Assaulting orks in the last game...

...and countercharge

Here are more pictures from Gothcon for those who are interested.

cheers
