Howdy EA Community! ![]() I have an admission I need to get off my chest. I'm a lazy Cad... ![]() Not lazy in life, but when it comes to painting my figs, well that's another story. I'm hoping I can change that with this new topic/blog post of my tournament Army for the Epic Armageddon Challenge. Unfortunately I don't have pics this minute as I'm writing this, but I will be uploading them this weekend for sure. It's been H..E double hockey sticks for the last couple months trying to pin down what I'm going to be competing with, but I've FINALLY made up my mind and have chosen Eldar. Not my first choice, but due to time constraint + my horrible past 4 weeks of my life, the Eldar have won their way into the Mecca of all that is gaming (at least in the US IMHO), Adepticon! So it is my hope that by doing these updates on this post, I will get my buttocks into gear and churn out some product. Oorah! As for painting scheme, I'm really not that into the Biel-Tan colors for the guardians, but the list is what I'll be using. Besides dammit, it's my army and I'll paint it anyway I please...right? I've chosen a bone and a blue as my two primary colors. I'm thinking of shades of gray's for metallics and weapons. Reds and Oranges for the gems. Browns for bags, pouches, etc. Between this and a Lord of the Rings force, I've got a mission impossible to get all this done in 6 weeks from yesterday. HEY if anything, this will hopefully be entertaining...wish my luck! |

2 armies in 6 weeks? Ergh. Last time I did a push like that (my Siegemasters), I didn't paint for a couple of months afterwords. I'm down to about ten hulls and half a dozen turrets, plus possibly a display board, if I can figure out what I want to do there. Good luck! |

I suspect I'll be sick of painting 25-28mm, but I'm thinking 6mm will be cake. I'm hoping to get a display board done too. Something in the range of a GIANT Web Gate or maybe something like the gate from Dawn of War video game. We'll see... |

If you require encouragement I'm sure we can help you out. To that end... Less talk! More painting/pictures! |

Heh. I'm still trying to finalize my force list for Adepticon myself. I'm probably going with Steel Legion myself as they're the closest to being finished (not counting my Smurfmarines which I don't feel like playing) and I'm doing some stuff that's not completely sane (IE a company of Baneblades ^_^) since I'm not going for utter domination but just to have fun. I also have a VERY little bit of terrain repair to do for the BFG tournament which I'm in charge of. |

Sorry I've been really slow to update this thread. It's been hectic at home. ![]() So here's some progress shots. I'm a little further down the road than this and most of the infantry is done. I'll have to upload those pics later. For now, this is all I got.

I just finished flocking the rest of my army for adepticon. All I have left to do is some metal and bronze work on a FW Stormsword (playing the role of a Shadowsword). |
