As I await my shipment of fighters (to be chaos hell fighters and pdf proxies) I was wondering - anyone got the above and have a few comparison pics between them and a few Epic models?

I dont have these, but I have seen them at several shows on display. They are fairly soft plastic, mostly one-piece and around the size of a Knight, some a little smaller than Knights... if that was where you were going with this.

As CS says: i've seen plenty of them around. Would work for an Admech type list for sure.

I bought a few packs of these a while back to make a knight army, as the others have said the plastic is fairly soft but it's workable. The only issues I've had is with trying to file down compononents where the plastic just sort of bunches up in balls and strings but the end result is the same.

I've taken a few quick snaps to show scale but if you want anything more detailed just let me know

The middle bot is designed to have a horizontal carapace and chicken like legs which I've attached which may make it appear slightly bulkier. I think what I'll end up doing is taking this carapce and turning it into some sort of drop ship with vectored engines.

From left to right. FW reaver, baron conversion, castlelan conversion, paladin conversion, stompa.

A better view of the detail on the models which isn't terrible but as you can see I haven't tried painting anthing yet.

I know that the last post was a while ago, but your idea to use the "chicken walker" mech as a drop ship inspired me after reading it...

And PiP:

I'm going to use them as Marauder Bombers in my War Gryphons-based Titan Legion...I'm also using the smaller Mechs as Forge Knights and the Larger ones as Warhound counts-as.

wow, never got around to converting those drop ships, will have to now that looks briliant, very red dwarf esque.

The forge knight also looks ace, the positioning of the limbs really adds a new dimension to the model. I'll really have to get cracking on my own conversions now

Thanks, I've always thought Red Dwarf-style was a good idea for the Ad Mech :)

The "drop ship" is the body of the chicken walker mech with the top sections of it's legs attached as engines...such a simple conversion but looks ace.

Might have to start a plog on here now...

You really should start a plog, I'd definitely follow it.

I've also had the same red dwarf idea, I've got a corgy model of red dwarf itself which is roughly BFG gothic sized, I was going to use it a an admech explorator vessel or mass conveyance.

:o ;D

The corgi Red Dwarf is awesome...I saw one a few years back at a car boot sale and didn't pick it up...wish I had now :(

Anyhoo...I'll start a plog on here so as to stop de-railing this thread's original message by going OT by such a large amount. :D
