Can someone recommend a proxy for the questor and subjugator? It will take me appoximatley forever to win them off ebay (rare + expensive) and the original models are not awesome enough to merit the expense. Thanks.

I think you could scratch one up with bits pretty easily if that is an option.

Necron legs, torso, CSM possesed shoulderpads, Demonette claws, & the incoming DE bits, could get you 90% there.

That's true, but I would like to get an already made leg/torso combination at least and add bits onto that.

Tau Stealth suits. They already have hooves and you can just replace the arms with something chaosy

EM4 makes these standard mechs http://www.em4miniatures.com/acatalog/S ... ction.html

At that price you can just about anything with and to them.

I'd second that.

Those things rotted on the shelves when they were released for TL because of the fugly factor. Amazing what a decade and a nice statline can do for a model. ;D

The one with claws was nice (subjugator ?), but the others were sure ugly minis, from the very start of their career.

I've used old Warhound models with the addition of 28mm Daemonette claws or AMTL chainfists for my subjugators. They match up nicely against similar DC War Engines.

I would suggest converting the Eldar Revenant titans. They are probably the model that's closest to the right style and readily available. 28mm heavy weapons from Slaanesh forces (EC or the new Dark Eldar stuff) should be adaptable.

That's what I've used for my Slaaneshi force. I'm lazy so just painted them in pastel shades and use them as questors! They then double up as Slaaneshi ferals when I play black legion. Mine are the nasty Epic40K era ones.

How about the battletech mechs, like the jenner IIc? Are they the right height?

most battletech stuff would work as far as size. i've seen them used as ferals before
