Hi Guys, thought you may be interested in these. ?Steel Legion Company to keep my recently finished Catachans company on the battlefield. ?As you can see they are in pseudo Soviet WW2 colours.



Standard EA organisation witha 4 stand HW support formation (on the left) and a 2 Ogryn support formation at the back.




And for those of you with good eyesight, yes one of the HW stand figs is a Ork with a big shoota! its a scavanged weapon reclaimed from the battlefield and depicting just how short the Steel Legions were for equiment at the height of the various hive seiges.

And yes, I am still waiting for my flock to arrive...

And thus the forces of the Emperor continue to grow at my house ?:cool:

The second Steel Legion Coy is about half finished too.  Just to satisfy my own perverse sense of irony, they are painted in pseudo German WW2 "Feld Grey" type colours :D

Note that I was also trialling some colour schemes for the ruin sprues too.  After much deliberation, I think I prefer the more real castle like sandstone colours of the ruins on the extreme right.  Its not quite so drab and dreary

Yeah, great stuff Tas, a real nice neat look to them all, especially the ruins.. The Ork weapon idea is great, and it reminds me of something else- has anyone thought of building an Armageddon Ork Hunters force for Epic- might be rather interesting...? ???

The ork was kinda lying around as a spare...and I thought: "Cool, more guns for my Guardsmen...lets face it they need all they can get!" :;):

For Ork Hunters I was just going to use Catachan figs and use a normal company type organisation- 12 stands + HQ. ?For EA an extra rule fluff is needed to represent their better skills in a forest. ?Anyway, I'll put that up in the appropriate forum area...

L4- EVERYONE looks like the Russkies to you! ?Thats what comes of being trained to fight em- you cold war warrior! ?:D
