So, who has done them, and what were they like?
There was a rogue trader tourney in Nashville last weekend, and I went crazy ordering bitz, including stuff to do a Tzeentch Imperator conversion. I bought:
A high elf waystone obelisk for the platform 2 small gravestone obelisks for the corners of the platform flying discs to mount under the bastions Ahriman's head to cut up and convert the existing head
But the best part I found was the Khemri pads. They are a set of 6 metal scarabs on a sprue. I bought about 6 sprues for Tzeentch conversions for the Imperator and a 40K dreadnought. I plan to mount them on the corners of the carapace platform, on the knees, and wherever else sounds good.
I'm really looking forward to doing the conversion.

If I can convince my dad to let me thieve his digital camera for a week or two, I'll document the job.

Just a side bar - the Imperator (and Warmonger) is still available from G/W US for $25 ($35). I know, I just sent 3 to Darkone ! I saw a guy bid on one on E-bay for $69.00 ! Neal, I would like to see your conversion too !

I think perhaps the greatest Imperator Titan conversion ever was Adrian Woods Abominatus. It was simply amazing!
Also - to Legion 4 - What is $25 in ?? I think I may try to find out. Also what else is avaliable in the US?
Cheers
Chris

Adrian woods' Abominatus was great.
You could at the time buy the bits to make the conversion which is whats in the epic40k.com gallery. That was my first conversion and I would like to do another three for each god.... Still buying bits and pieces and need to sketch what I want then to look like. The 40k models make for great parts to use for imperator sized conversions.
Neal: I would be looking forward to seeing your stuff when its finished. Tom is right maybe an article would be great.

Chris, the G/W US 2003 listings has some SM1, SM2/TL, and of course all the E40K stuff ! Is there anything specific ? The lists are huge !!! Go G/W US !!!

I just hope my bits come in for the long weekend...
I will try to take notes as I go to do a write-up.
So, has anyone else done any Impy conversions?

Yes, it's far from complete, yet, but I did not mount the "Castle" on the top and made it a terrain piece with additional modifications. ?I'm going to mount a modified Psi-Cannon/Warmonger Vengence Cannon on top instead, I made my own gun mount, trunion and platform. ?I used the Psi-Cannon mounts as terrain after some modifications, again. ?I may use 40K SM shoulder pads or Forge World bunkers on the top of the Titan's gun platform. ? But like I said it's far from finished and just one of many of my on-going projects ... ?She/It will be ?the "Yamato" of my Titan Force. ?Hopefully She/It, won't suffer the same fate ...

Good news: The shipment arrived Friday. Bad News: It was missing bitz for the conversion.
Oh, well. I'll try again later. Hopefully, that will give me a chance to round up a digital camera, too.
Legion: Sounds cool.

More bad news...
The flying discs are too small to use as platforms for the feet.
Any suggestions for floating feet platforms?
I was considering ordering the larger, organic looking discs, but I want to stick with the Egyptian theme. It certainly doesn't need to stick with miniture bits. I have been wondering if I could find a set of buttons that would work. I may just end up going with washers or slugs and count on the paint job to make the difference.

That's too bad, I have used some of the discs for terrain bitz and now that I look they are a bit small. Maybe use large washers and bit them out with evergreen plastic blocks from the sheets, + other bitz to give you the look you are after ?
