Chris,

I had seen these but have waited to order any. The cost combined with the cross atlantic shiping just makes it too costly for terrain when there are other things I need. However, I agree these do look interesting.

I have the Censorium and Librarium, as well as the defence line set. They are pretty good miniatures. They are a little too expensive to buy to populate a battlefield, but to add character and objectives they are great.

I agree that FW epic stuff is on the pricy side. I have 6 Adiministratums, 6 Librariums, 2 ruined Librariums, 2 Censoriums, 1 Cathedral, 2 pillbox sets, 2 line bunker sets, 2 bunker sets, 2 tank emplacements, 2 dugout sets, 4 road sets, 4 2nd road sets, 4 monoliths and 6 paving. I would recommend buying from The War Store if you are in the US. The price works out about the same but, you don't get the lags in delivery that FW is prone to.

Its a shame its all so expensive.  I'm really rubbish at terrain building, so would like to buy a few good models to take the attention away from my monstrosities.  However, at those prices, I'll only buy a building every now and then.

I'm certainly not buying that Cathedral, ?60  :o

Some of us have actually bought the cathedral and its really nice. I know Jimbo has one and we both agreed it was pricey but one was ok. I didnt notice the ruined building until I was checking what I wanted for terrain(city fight) and noticed it, I ended up ordering three.  I am in the process of reviewing them as one of the articles.

Does anyone think Forgeworld will make any other ruined buildings? Based on the models they have now. A ruined Tank Factory would be nice...

Cheers

Thats a good question but based on what we have so far I would say yes, but it would be nice to have other things as well. Like the tyranid capillary towers or spore chimneys. Apart from the 40k models which are slowly focusing on other races FW do most imperial stuff, although work is being done on the tyranid titan which I hope will appear in the near future.

I think that Forgeworld will get around to making ruins of all the current scenery soon. Just wreck the model and make a new mold!

Eventually, Forgeworld will get around to making non-Imperial modles, but I imagine it will take time. We've already seen greens for the new Tyranids.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

They have done the Tau and Kroot don't forget. It would be nice to have some other FW races though. A Epic SM Thunderhawk would be nice...

Cheers

I know the Forgeworld stuff is expensive, but it is very nice and is in many cases value for money. It's quality stuff and you have to pay for it. Though ?60 is expensive, alternatives can also be pricey - N Gauge Model railway models are very pricey.

The only other company I would say which came close to FW standard (scenery) was Snapdragon Studio, alas they no longer make their 6mm stuff.

Jimbo,

Just curious, I thought Z Scale was closer to epic then N scale. Do you use N for your terrain?

Though I don't have the scales to hand, I know that Z scale is closer to 1/285th or 1/300th scale, however Epic is always slightly bigger than it should be.

N Scale is 1/160th and is probably way out of scale, however it has two advanatages over Z, one it's cheaper (still pricey) and two its easier to get hold of.

I haven't used much N Scale stuff, in the main bridges, but am looking at for an Industrial Terrain Board, some of the Faller oil complex stuff
