On the Eldar Guardian mini's, there is an object just behind their right arm, it's as though it is something sitting on their hip.
Is this the butt of their weapon or is it a pouch?

If I remember correctly, that is a sash. The 40K miniatures have it to denote squads by colour.

Ah, thanks for that CS. That's great, I can now use the same methodology to colour mark formations so that when they become intermingled I can more easily tell which unit belongs to which formation.

I'm pretty certain it is a spare shuriken catapult magazine. Look on EpicCollectors site to get a good view.
