Hi Chaps,
Well another Scratch build has been done, well the model anyway not the minatures!

After doing the deathcopter in my last post i already had an idea of my next build, the dood on the bomb in the deathcopter build had a forward facing gun, and i knew just what i wanted to use the next one for! As i dont play epic im not specific on what i build, or have a deep background or indepth knowledge on what rules apply, but after looking at air support for space marines etc they get thunder hawks and the same as other races aswell, I had never seen anything for the orcs to give them a bit of presence and fast asault movement on the battlefeild........well not to my knowledge anyway.

So enter the Orcs mobile assault troop ship! Death from above and all that! The design was again using the old orc war buggy, but this time two as two pilots as the vehicle is heavier! Blades same as before metal pipe/ plastic for the ends but a bit bigger this time to add more presence.

The body was carved out of wood as i had nothing else that size in plastic, will use wood in the future as it cuts easy and glueing stuff to it sticks better than plastic! The door gunner was of the old warhog model,cut cut out and had a larger gun made out of alloy pipe. And a hole cut out and sliding door fitted.

The rear is fitted with a drop door and has a orc boyz glued on, then two other orc boyz will be painted and hung from the model to represent quick deployment by rope! the rope will be just normal sewing thread but lined with superglue to made it hard and straight they will hang from this. Well here are the pictures it still has to be painted and mouted on a stand

Well here are some pics of the finished model, the paint scheme is orky and the superglue on the string worked out really well, its solid but yet can still be slighty manipulated, Would also work out well on SM jump packs as you could add more glue to the bottom to look like the thrust effect and paint accordingly.

Yes thats whats its based on the chinook! great bit of kit for dropping the troops off! I think the orcs nature would be this sort of assault, to honest i would of sooner seen the orcs as tunnelers aswell like the swats, the next troop carrier will be larger but the payload will be heavier not sure how many troops will be on the lines of a sort of herc that will parachute orc boyz onto the battlefeild!
Maybe 9 to 12 troop stands...... Quite looking forward to designing the plane/craft and most of all the parachutes!

Hi Guys,
Been a while since i have updated so though i post a few pics of a little project that i have been working on. In my blog a while back i posted a couple of pictures of a terminator and genestealer mounted on magnets! The idea was to make a 6mm table top version of space hulk.

I had some bits and bobs lying around for instance an old computer tower shell, and some sheet metal, after cutting the squares 10mm x 10mm and some angled modeling plastic made corriders etc, painted the gaps with tin bitz and wiped over, But i did not use this as the size of the computer was to small

Hi Guys,
Small update on the space wreck project, this post is quite pic heavy as i finally got to put a coat of paint on the board, I decided to spray it complete after finishing the last few floor tiles, Also extented the landing pad and ended up removing the round tower and replacing it with a square one with some more tiles!

Spent quite a while scrapping the paint of the tiles after painting but it has saved me a load of work in the long run, and gives the board a bit more depth than the previous pictures of bits of multi coloured plastic on the board in
