I'm through the basic colors on the Bruennhilde phalanx.

Touched up the basecoat, overbrush in Codex, Drybrush in Fortress Grey.

Now for the details.

Aside from the metal areas, I want the windscreen and headlights done. I'n not sure whether to do the shoulderpads of the Servitor in Mechrite, though. Any thoughts?

I think some thinned down brown wash to represent rust in a few key areas would go along way to helping it from looking a little too stone-like. Other than that it's an impressive display.

Oh, it's PIP. At this point I've gotten the flesh on the servitors and the metal areas blocked in. I will be adding mechrite to the shoulderpads, then the entire thing gets a devlan mud wash. After that I just need to pick out the windscreen and headlights, and add unit markings. Then I'll only have 112 units and ~50 peices of fortification left to do by June 5. Huzzah! *shudder*

The Bruennhildes are complete. Well, except for the one that isn't primed yet; that one will have to wait.

First, another PIP pic, after the main colors were blocked in and the Devlan Mud wash applied.

I decided to do the shoulderpads of the servitors in Company colors instead of all Mechrite Red.

After I'd picked out the windscreens and headlights, and added the white bands to the unit markings on the AA tractors.

One thing I'm really happy with recently is that my consistency is improving. When I first tried to paint these guys a few years ago, I couldn't get the grey consistent; it was either too light or too dark.

A detail of a single Bruennhilde from 47/2 Artillery Company.

I think the windshields and headlights did a good job of making them look like civilian vehicles converted for military use.

Next up will be my second Ragnarok platoon.

I lied about the Ragnaroks.

I took a break from Guard to finish the second of my Ork Warbands. It's in Deffskull colors, and is one of the three with attached Big Ginz.

Image
Full formation - 4 Grotz, 4 Nobz, 12 Boyz, 4 Big Gunz, and 2 Soopagunz

Image
Soopagun (SM era Traktor Kannon), Big Gun (2 Lootaz and a SAG)

Image
Grotz, Nobz, Boyz, and Boyz wiv Banna Wava.

They came out well, I think, but I will probably wait to do Moonz until after BfLP. They take too long to undercoat. If I have time, I will try. Otherwise they get Goff colors.

About the grass, if you're like me you'll notice that on my current minis I have thick static grass. That's GW grass. Model railroad grass is much finer and I'll be using it on all my future projects. You'll still have to trim it abit, but it looks more to scale than what you and I have been using to this point. Also you can buy a gallon of the stuff (literally) for the cost of two small tubs of GW static grass.

Managed to build the Warbikes I have available.

Image

I still am short 7 individual bikers, so if you have a lead on plastic Warbikers, I'd be much obliged.

Also 'fixed' one of my SM Battlewagonz. Thanks to Ghudra for the inspiration here, though the execution leaves something to be desired.

Image

It's not as neat as I'd like, but I've got more tries...

I have a stack of Gunwagon hulls wothout turrets, and a stack of Medusas from my Armas, so I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone.

Image

I really like how this one turned out, unlike the Battlewagon.

That's all for now.

Fourth Seige Infantry Company complete.

Image
It's actually 2/5th Company, as I wanted to show off the Lutrinae-pattern Thudds and Rapiers. I love the Lutrinae-pattern stuff more every time I work with it. A joy to build, a joy to paint. Aces!

Just two tank platoons to go before I can do a group shot! Then it's just the fortifications and Orks to go.
