Can I ask how the clamps of the landing craft 'work'? That is, if it's apparent from a quick look at the actual mini. Does the whole arm swing down, as per the thunderhawk transporter? A part of the arm? Or does it just clamp onto the top of the vehicle? |

I haven't got the model infront of me (I'm in work) but I believe they clamp to the top/very upper sides of the Rhinos. |

Yes. It seems that the clamps grap the Rhino left and right. |

Indeed, a bit like picking a rhino up between finger and thumb, to the top of each side. |

Clamp onto the sides? Now I'm confused. ![]() Ta, MoK. Nice work. From what I can see there are some circles and bits at the base of the arm that suggests a hinge. Or is that wishful thinking? What other moving bits are there? Or if I scratch-build my own version, should I redesign it to something I can get my head around? |

![]() Just for illustrative purposes, but this is how they're supposed to attach. I've used plastic rhinos. Obviously the newer versions are a bit wider and a better fit ![]() |

hmmm - the GW Landing Craft looks about the size of a FW Thunderhawk. Is that about right? bg, |

just makes me wonder how the hell it flies! Yes there are plenty of ciruclar bits that suggest hinges, as well as pistons in all the right places to support that theory. In addition there are some ciruclar bits on top; GW canon has previously mentioned magna-clamps (magnetic clamps...) for holding pistols and other weaponry instead of webbing etc; so i decided that that'w what those are! |

Just got to be exceptionally powerful engines by modern standards I guess, capable of easily keeping something as un-aerodynamically bothered as that aloft. |
