I managed to get my hands on some Orks and because I've been out of the GW scene for a few years, having a hard time trying to figure out what is what with my new second hand epic orks.

First off...I have a few ork stands  where there is an ork holding onto a huge ass gun on his shoulder.
What kind of ork is this one?
Is it a Boyz?  (There is a picture in the rulebook, under Ork Clans...Deathskulls...left side)

And once I can remember what the other things that I was going to post...I will post it. :D

Thanks,

i think the piece you are refering to is, for lack of a better term, unnamed. it isnt actually anything so use it however you want. there are alternate ork armies on this sight that do use them as a specific unit.

Is it this one?

I base them in stands of five and use them as Big Gunz.  Or you could put one on a stand with your Boyz just to give your Boyz more character.

Or stick one or two on every deff skullz nobz stand. That is what I plan to do.

They are Big Shoota boyz, and in E40k were mounted 5 to a stand and carried heavy weapons (like Lootas in 40k), but they have still lots of uses now even though they're not in lists any more; here's a few off the top of my head:

> If you do clan themes, adding one to a Boyz stand makes them good for Deathskullz and Bad Moonz

> Or put a couple on a battlewagon to make it 'count as' a gunwagon

> Or add them to Big Gunz stands
