I picked up a box of these Confrontation "Phemera Omega" figs with the thought of using for something in my Tyranid army.  The metal blades on the arms would need some putty work to make them look like natural weapons, but otherwise the detail is pretty good.

I've already got a good supply of the old metal Tyranid bio-tanks, so I was thinking to use them as the Hierophant and/or Hydraphant in the current list.  Scale wise do these look like they would work or would they be on the small side?

As a side note, there are two box sets versions of these figs (Alpaha and Omega) and both Fantasy Flight Games and The WarStoreare closing them out for $10 a box, 8 figs per box.  Due to Rackham distribution agreements, FFG only ships these to North America, not sure about the War Store.

And I found these Indiana Jones jungle cutters on clearance at Walmart on clearance for $1 each.  The pre paints aren't great, but they should re paint easily enough.  So if you have a Walmart nearby, get em before they are gone.  Not sure what I will use them for yet, but either an Imperial or a Chaos war engine of some sort.  I'll make some house rules allowing them to remove appropriate terrain features as they move.  Mmmmmmm, giant spinning blades....

Those are some great monsters you have got there, but I do not think they will cut it for hiero/hydraphant. These should be the equivalence of Warhounds and Reavers. What I do see, however, are some potential haruspex or carnifex, if you would prefer that, seeing that they are about the same size as the exocrine.

The tanks, however, would serve quite well as Gorgons in the Death Korps army list. Add some chains to the sawblades and you have a mine clearing device of some sort.
