Post subject:  I got me some Epic Grey Knights
Has anyone else on these forums purchased FW Epic Grey Knights before?
I want to start playing Epic (who doesn't? :p) using a Daemonhunters and AMTL mixed force.

Now onto the GK's.
What I got - Epic GK in PA, Epic GK in TDA & 2 GK Dreadnoughts

Pro's
-Awesome detail
-Posing is great
-They put GW Epic Marines to shame!
-Grand Master and Special Weapons included
-Come with enough strip bases.
-Multi-part model (Dreadnoughts only... thankfully)
-Only one Halberd is broken

Con's
-Super Tiny
-Some of the models have obvious MOLD LINES (can be cleaned)
-Missing one haft of a Halberd / one Halberd broken
-The ONLY sword armed GK is a mess, it is also obvious that the molds for these little suckers are getting worn out!
-So tiny, I can't take pictures without a mega-pixel camera!
-Dreadnoughts are very fidgety and will be a challenge

That's about it.

Got'm and working on them now.  And I agree on all points ...  But like most of F/W's infantry it is fragile and "challenging" to work with.   I'm glad F/W doesn't do much infantry any more ...  I've still got to do all my F/W Epic Tau & Kroot ...  :alien:  They really are not gamer friendly IMO ...   :_(  But I got all the Epic/AI F/W makes ... Been collecting Epic since '90 ... I rather have a little more survivability ... then something too fragile to seriously game with.  But like all my Epic stuff, I'll paint up and post pics ... like I do all my stuff !  :;):   And make sure you wash all F/W resin with soap and water to remove the mold releaser ... AND don't breath the dust when filing the bases, etc ... IT IS TOXIC !  :ghost:  8v)

BTW - The SM directly behind and to the SGT's left are long OOP F/W Multi-part SMs. I'm glad I didn't have to assemble all my SMs.  :vD    Working on my Dark Angels & GKs now ...  8v)

Well ... you get 20 Gray Knights per pack and 20 GK Terminators per pack. 2 dreads per pack. And 2 Land Raiders per pack ... Some one painted up some really nice GKs and posted pics here ... I can't remember who. :;):  I plan on painting mine up simply and Tactically of course. Base painted black, dry brush gray. Then dry brush steel ... Add details ... but very dark ... no bright colors.  I'm so glad that GZG, DRM & E/W do their infantry in metal. And WF's Deathbots will be in plastic ... not F/W resin !  :))
