Hello All,
Well it's Saturday, I have a case of beer, unfinished marines and no job.... Perfect. Lets get going. As I mentioned before the company i worked for closed its doors last December so I've been bumming around town since then. Kind of hard to do when it's -40 but now it's 40 above. 1st thing I did was go through all my fluff for my DiY marines trying to finalize how I wanted them and trying out color schemes and such..unfinished of course


Then I did some terrain pieces to get used to sitting down and getting something done...  


Now I'm on to the stuff that's been sitting in a box since October...






My goal is to be done with this and others by the 16th of February and posting daily updates.

Nice scheme with the Brown marine. Which chapter is that? Nice Eagle/Hawky scheme.

Oh, and the Epic marines ain't bad either!

Those are the strike eagles   . I was watching natgeo channel and they had this segment on eagles from the world and it just hit me. You don't see too many brown marines around so I fiddled around with some colors and voila! Still undecided about the weapon casing, leaning towards yellow but not too sure.
Just finished the argonauts, will post pics soon.

Very nice Centurion, love seeing our community's work very insperational.

Here are the argonauts. I'm not really happy with dreads, I put the primer on a little to thick.
Need to find my decals to add to the razorbacks....

Very nice, I like the bases too. It's something I'm noticing more and more on TacComm and I'm thinking of trying basing my own troops. Keep them coming.

The Decals look fantastic.  I have never really been able to get them to look good.  Do you use water to put them on or do you use any product to help.

The colour scheme is really effective they will look great on the table top.

 Mark, I use only water for the decals, I've not had any problems yet.
As for the bases, I highly recommend them. I think they give my force a unifying look but that's just me.  

Well this took longer than expected.
I hit a wall when I could not decide how I was going to paint these vehicles. After several attempts I came up with a scheme that I really liked.
This force "The Lonestars" will be my main choice if I ever play a game and use Hena's Scions of Iron List.

Next shield bearers

Finished the shield bearers, I had some bike stands but decided to wait for some metal ones and keep the force looking unified.

Very nice looking stuff all around.  The Shield Bearers look really sharp.
