Someone did a Nurgle Army with loads of conversion (especially on the tanks) that had a swamp like base. Anyone know if there is a web site that hosted the pictures? Also anyone know how he/she did the swamp? |

I'm guessing you're referring to mageboltrat's nurgle army. If I remember correctly that one was based on some swampy stuff. I haven't got a link to it right now, but some searching on rattys stuff should turn something up. |

Ok... thanks for the clue, finally found it after some long searching. Megaboltrat PhotoBucket but... the big question is how do you create that effect? Any tips, colours used? anything? Is he still an active member? |

Hm... Looking at the army pic on the swamp table I'm beginning to think he might have used some kind of green tinted varnish, clear acrylic resin or glue. There's definitely some transparency and the many little dark rocks makes me think it is unlikely it was painted that way and simply coated with gloss varnish. For the infantry bases everything is probably painted. |
