[CODE]  As you can see we still use SM1 organization, Flags & Banners.  I even managed to use some decals.  The display board is just for looks.  :D

Very nice Ultras, L4. I recognize the SM1 decals.  :cool:  I'll be using the same ones in the near future for my Ultras.

How did you paint them l4? I'm painting ultra currently and just not happy with the colour.

Thanks D/S ! I love those old SM Decals ! :D ?TRC, I used Polley's S paints. Colors that the USN used in WWII. ? Based painted darker blue, washed with black, then dry brushed with a lighter blue. ?IIRC, ?mid-War, the top of the aircraft was painted the darker blue and the sides the lighter blue ... ?In scale they look blue-gray ... ?:D  "W" - we decided years ago to leave the bases black, makes them easier to see your own forces, flocking just didn't looked right to us on this scale.  Of course it would be easy enough to use white glue and WS flock.  But I'm more concerned about getting them all painted. I'm doing Salamanders next, then IF, BA, DA, SW. Then Traitor - WE, TS, SoH & NL.  ALL in tactical Colors ... not reds, pinks, etc. ! :D

Looks great L4. That blue tone reminds me of the old school Rogue Trader Ultramarines. Those subdued colors looks much more dark milennium sci fi and gritty. Me likes :D

Ugh, that was close. I basecoat my Sky Gods in Prussian blue-gray and mid-tone in Azure blue.

Nice to see the darker cousin of my color scheme vindicated so nicely.
