I'm finally finishing off my Carnifex conversions (the larger original ones) and planning to mount them onto round bases as per my other Tyranids.

Now the Carnifex has a long sweeping tail behind it and the two sything talons are raised and slightly extended out from the main body.

So the question is, what would look better?

1) A large base that covers both the tail and the talons. But it just means other smaller models on round bases need to be either placed at the edge of the Carnifex base or on top of the Carnifex base (and most likely overhanging).

2) A smaller base where the tail and talons extend over the edges. Smaller modeks can be placed right next to the tail and even under the talons without interference.

What do people think?

Personally I would go with the smaller base, in my opinion it looks much better and the only downfall is storage is more difficult.
