OK. This is a bit strange, but I have not yet organised my Orks for EA play, and the situation with FW fliers has me confused. The EA Ork force list has Ork Fighta-Bommaz armed with Heavy Shootaz and Rokkits, and this is the only aircraft of this type (ignoring the Landa). FW make three sizes of Ork flier: (Heavy/Supa) Bommaz - These are too big to represent EA Fighta-Bommaz. Fighta-Bommaz and Bommaz - The names imply that the Fighta-Bommaz are the ones to use, and that the Fightas are not needed. But, the price implies that the Fighta-Bommaz are larger, and more like a Maurader to the Fightas Thunderbolt. To add to the confusion, when you click on the 'more pictures' link, the Fighta-Bomma is suddenly labelled as a Bomma, and the Fighta is now labelled as a Fighta-Bomma! I assume that the smaller Fighta is the one that should be used as an EA Ork Fighta-Bomma... right? Thanks. |

I don't know if it will help, but I use the SG models as fightabommas and the FW models, both the FB and the bommas, as bommas. They're Orks. vehicle designations are malleable. |

Thanks guys. Maybe I will pick up a pack of each and mix and match, as Carl has done. http://www.dropship.org.uk/epic/eao006.asp ps- and shouldn't this be in the Ork rules forum ![]() ![]() Probably. D'oh! ![]() I don't know if it will help, but I use the SG models as fightabommas and the FW models, both the FB and the bommas, as bommas. *Looks through the EA force list* Bommaz.... Bommaz.... Ah ha! Thanks. In that case, I will use the smaller craft (Thunderbolt sized) for the Fighta-Bommaz and the larger ones (Marauder sized) for the Big Bommaz. The Supa/Heavy Bommaz certainly seem like WE to me. |

Another sad example of cool FW models without proper stats for Epic. |

Well you can use them in Neal's variant list I guess, i thought they were in Bloodaxes too?? Been while since I checked though. And the big ones make cool Landa's IMO. |

Yep, FW models are only good proxys for something else, instead of Main List could have proper stats for them, this is one of Great Downfalls of epic (other being allways "playtesting, fanlists and experimental rules" and inability to decide whether to follow background or army champions whims.). EDIT: Neals variant list? |

I'm thinking - G/W's = Fightas, then F/W's = Fighta Bommas; Bommmas and 'Eavy Bommas ... Yes ? ![]() |

My usage: SG - Fighta-Bommaz (core Ork list) FW Fighta (10 pounds for 2) - Fighta-Bomma (core Ork list) FW FightaBomma (12 pounds for 2) - Heavy Bomma (Blood Axe and OGBM) FW Supa Bomma - convert to a landa, or something new! |

This is all pretty much immaterial at this point. I wanted to order these to collect at Salute, but I have been calling about half a dozen times for the last couple of days, and all I get is the engaged tone. Honestly, FW say that the only way to contact them is to call, and then we cant do that. Are they really that busy, or have they just taken the phone off the hook and cant be bothered? The more I deal with this company, the less I like them. ![]() |

Yes, I had to have my "sleeper cells" in the UK call them for me, when they make a mistake, send damaged or poorly molded models, etc. I hope you get your stuff eventually C/S ... And I too have been thinking about making my SIB 'Eavy Bommas Assault Transports/Landers ... Very heavily armed Assault Landers ... ![]() |
